You can read the downloaded book on your phone/computer/tablet.but sort of defeats the purpose of the Kobo.for this books. same book, but different ISBN, so not recognized as the same on your Kobo. Can't borrow as it is not recognized as the same book.Ĭheck the problem book(s), and I'm sure you will find this is likely the problem. I have a Kobo Clara HD and Im trying to use Adobe Digital Editions to sync it but even though the book shows up, it says the eReader is not authorized regardless of how many times I authorize it. The thought I would get the next book in the trilogy, The Lewis Man.No luck!! The difference is The first book in library and Kobo store both have the same ISBN: 9781681448947. Im a new kobo user and an even newer overdrive/libby app user, and Ive been having issues syncing the books. This is my theory.Įxample: I borrowed The Blackhouse by Peter May, no problem. Unfortunately the book has to be an exact copy/edition the one your library has. I know many think the book they are trying to borrow is in the store (it sort of is). ![]() ![]() I believe the problem is, as others have noted, the book has to be in the Kobo store. Won't go into all the details, but I doubt I haven't tried everything anyone here can mention. I've spent more than a few hours over the past year on this.
